EKF-based TS fuzzy prediction for eliminating the extremely fast reactive power variations in Manjil wind farm

The inherent time-varying nature of the wind farm power causes undesired voltage flicker in network. In order to mitigate enhance performance system with very fast dynamics, static VAr compensator (SVC) is utilized. However, SVC operates some delays which negatively affects its performance. This persuades us predict reactive compensate for real-world delay. predicted then utilized SVC. Therefore, this paper develops a novel fuzzy one-step-ahead prediction approach power. proposed uses Takagi-Sugeno (TS) representation whose unknown parameters are tuned online based on an extended Kalman filter (EKF). modeled as current source amplitude and phase change every 0.01 s. A large set actual data Manjil, Iran gathered directly simulation process. Several indices calculated evaluate method. obtained results show enhancement mitigation suggested scheme.
